The incrimination of defamation is provided for inArticle 173 of the Swiss Penal Code:

The one who, by addressing a third party, will have accused a person or thrown on him the suspicion of holding a conduct contrary to the honor, or of any other fact likely to damage his consideration,

the one who will have propagated such an accusation or such a suspicion,

shall, upon complaint, be punished by a pecuniary penalty.
